Emma’s mission is to inspire, educate and prevent injury. These Pilates-Physio classes are designed to optimise mobility, working on posture, flexibility and core strength for everyone.
Emma is a registered physiotherapist keen to reach out to the public with a very hands on approach to Physio Lead Pilates.
These sessions connect mind and body by using the breath which helps calm the mind and brings the awareness of where the joints are in space and the supporting muscles are said joints. Breathing is one of Joseph Pilates 8 principles of Pilates. When focussing on the breath your mind is not able to do that ‘to do list’ or think about what’s on that day.
This helps you reconnect with your body!
Pilates is also used as a tool to help manage stress, anxiety, depression as well as improving memory and keeps the mind engaged at all times.
