We have a team of Chartered physiotherapists and sports rehabilitators who use the most up-to-date research to complement our treatment sessions for sports and joint specific rehabilitation. We use a very hands-on approach during each treatment session and team that with assessing the whole body, opposed to simply around the point of pain. We want you to not only get back to your chosen hobby, but be pain-free during work or home life, to enjoy time with the grandchildren or still compete with your own children!
We work with professional rugby and football players, Ironmen, dancers and performers as well as helping the general public improve their pain-free movements, stability and balance through the treatment of the injury. We pride ourselves on keeping to the underlying theme of injury prevention moving into the future. We can support you on your road to recovery with not only clinic based treatments but rehabilitation sessions to complement and strengthen under supervision, hands-on correction and support.
Private Functional Movement Sessions
We offer private functional movement sessions either as one-2-ones or for small groups, tailoring each session towards your specific needs. We will identify your strengths and weaknesses throughout the body. As well as improving your strength and opening those restricted areas, we give you the confidence and awareness to enable you to continue your training or rehab yourself.
When we understand the way we move, we can then begin to manage our own health!
We offer deep tissue massage to help relieve any tight spots before they begin to cause a problem. Muscle tightness can occur from over use of certain muscles or from muscles not being used through their range, meaning they begin to feel tight and stale. Another reason for the feeling of tightness can be restrictions in the fascia which separates the muscles from each other. Our therapists understand these differences and treat accordingly. Moving the muscles off the bones, hydrating the tissue and melting those tight spots away. Treatments also include elements of physio based mobilisation techniques, trigger point therapy, passive stretching (lazy mans yoga) and take home exercises to keep you being able to do what ever you love in life pain-free!

What is Cranio-Sacral Therapy?
Cranio-Sacral Therapy is a very gentle form of touch therapy that supports your body’s innate ability to balance, restore and heal itself, as well as helping to reduce stress and build your underlying energy. The practitioner senses tensions in the body and helps to release them in a supported and comfortable way. During or after a session you may feel calm and energised, with increased clarity of mind and a feeling of well-being.
As we go through life events, accidents and emotional trauma are a ‘normal’ part of this, the body is very intelligent in that it always tries to make situations easier for you to handle and in doing so will store emotions or experiences in the body to be dealt with later. The problem is in today’s society we are busier than ever and even finding the time and space for simple tasks is a luxury, let alone processing something we feel we’ve already dealt with. Over time, these trapped emotions and knocks, bumps and injuries begin to build and layer up and the body never really gets chance to be listened to and share its story. This creates much bigger issues and more persistent emotional patterns or physical pains, issues and even illnesses.
Cranio-Sacral therapy through gentle touch gives the body and body systems the space to process issues. The gentle touch of the practitioner also acts like a listening friend hearing all the stories the body has to tell, this listening is so profound and allows the body the opportunity to let go of things it no longer needs.
Through ongoing sessions the letting go will deepen and treatment can be really profound in the issues it can help.

Yoga is essentially a form of stress reduction through building awareness. Even on a very slight scale, if we are not keeping aware we can be moving towards the sympathetic nervous system (fight or flight mode) making our decisions for us.

Absolute beginners and those carrying injuries are very welcome. Our small classes designed to go through some the most common poses explaining the techniques and what we are trying to achieve in each position. We will both demonstrate and use a hands on approach showing how to move safely, to activate and lengthen certain body parts and help strengthen and reduce injury. Use yoga and Pilates to compliment your chosen sport, occupation on levels of movement and mind.
